Sapient College’s Mohith is ‘Spectra Student of the Year’

Mysuru, March 11:-  Spectra Student of the Year 2019, a cultural and management fest was organised by Hindustan First Grade College at J P Nagar here on March 8. The students from various colleges from Bengaluru and Mysuru participated in the fest and took part in various competitions which were part of the event.

The students had to compete in four different rounds comprising strategy, business, cultural (dance, street play) and physical (swimming, cycling and sprints). Dr Mahadevan, Registrar, University of Mysore, was the chief guest for the valedictory session. Issac Samala Gerard, chief HR officer, Hindustan Group of Institutions, Chennai, was the guest of honour.

The two new special programmes which will be offered by Hindustan FGC from 2019 – B.Sc in Fashion Designing and BBA in Aviation Management were launched during the valedictory function.

Mohith, a student from Sapient College, won the  ‘Spectra Student of the Year 2019’ award. He was awarded I Pad. The students of Sapient College were awarded overall champions and the team of Amrutha College were the runners-up of the event. The winners and runners-up of the event were awarded a cash prize, mementoes and trophy.

Abel Mathew Prasad, special officer, OFAA, Dr Sujatha Krishnamurthy, principal, HFGC were present.

Mohammed Shakeel and Namratha of 2nd year BCom hosted the valedictory session. Ramya R, assistant professor, welcomed the gathering. Chethan. H, vice-principal HFGC, proposed the vote of thanks. (MR)
