Satish Jarakiholi accused of insulting Brahmins

Mysuru, April 22:- Mysuru City and District Brahmins’ Association on Monday staged a protest against Forest Minister Satish Jarakiholi, who allegedly insulted Brahmins during an election campaign at Belagavi recently.

The protesters, who had gathered in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here,  alleged that the minister during his election campaign on April 16 had said only Dalits and Muslims have sacrificed their lives for the nation and not Brahmins. The organisation members said that the statement of the minister is clearly in violation of the code of conduct and urged the authorities to take strict action against the minister.

President of the association DT Prakash, Vikram Iyengar, Ajay Shastry, Harish, Balakrishna, Sowbhagya Murthy and others were present. (MR/GK)
