‘Save NTM School’ protest continues in Mysuru

Prime News, Karnataka, Education, Children, Memorial, Mysuru, August 4:- ‘Save NTM School’ protest entered its 37the day at the school premises on Narayan Shastry Road here on Wednesday (August 4).

The general opinion among the protesters is that the state government can build the Swami Vivekananda memorial without disturbing the school structure.  The protesters said, “The historical school should be saved at any cost. The 140-year-old school was built by the Maharajas of Mysuru.”

They said, “We are totally against the demolition of the school for the sake of the memorial. No one would recommend construction of the memorial at the cost of the school building.”

Historian Prof Nanjaraja Urs, Hosakote Basavaraju, M B Bangarappa and others were present during the protest. (MR/KS)
