Schemes not reaching public on expected lines

Mysuru, January 3:- Though the government is introducing various schemes for the welfare of the poor, all these schemes are not as effective as expected due to the negligence and carelessness of several officials.

The central government introduced Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadha scheme to put an end to the medical lobby. These Jan Aushadha centres are functioning all over the state but several doctors are spreading the wrong message about Jan Aushadha for their greed and are sending patients to private medical shops.

Two Jan Aushadha centres have been opened at Hunsur. One is opened at the premises of Devaraja Urs Government Hospital. Most of the doctors write to the Jan Aushadha centres for medicines, but some doctors prescribe private medical shops for medicine for commission though there is enough stock of medicine at Jan Aushadha centres.

The health department needs to take necessary action against this to help the poor.

There is also an allegation that the government is not supplying medicines to the Jan Aushadha centres in time and the government has to make sure that the medicines are available all the time. (MR/KS).
