Scholarships awarded to meritorious students

“Even after we scale great heights in life or maybe end up residing in some part of the world, we should always remember the land where we were brought up. We should be indebted to the society which made us to progress in life,” said retired professor Dr K S Chandrashekhar.

He was speaking at the scholarship distribution programme for the meritorious students at Maharaja College centenary auditorium organised by Hulagadhi Trust and Dr Meera V Nathan.

“Education is an asset that can never be stolen. Education is not owned by anyone. Everyone has the right for education. Some talented students miss out on education due to various reasons. We find such students and provide them with scholarship in the name of our parents to help the students to continue their education,” he added.

More than 600 students were awarded the scholarship. Dr Meera, managing trustee of Hulagadhi Trust G R Nagaraj, Ramakrishna and others were present.
