District In-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa on Friday held an interaction programme ‘Jana Mana’ with the beneficiaries of government schemes like Maithri, Krishi Bhagya, Anna Bhagya, Runa Muktha, Ksheera Bhagya, Ksheera Dhaare, Manasvi, Vasathi Bhagya, Shadi Bhagya and Rajiv Arogya Bhagya at Senate Bhavan, University of Mysore.
Sharing their experience with Ksheera Bhagya, milk scheme to the school children, the children urged the minister to improve the quality of milk. They also appealed to the minister to provide milk that is purchased directly from the dairy farmers. They demanded supply of milk everyday at schools which is now a thrice in a week.
Reacting to the demands of school children, Dr Mahadevappa assured to initiate necessary steps to meet the demands of children soon.
Earlier, beneficiaries of Anna Bhagya, urged the minister to distribute the kerosene, ragi and wheat in adequate quantities. They also urged the minister to look into the alleged irregularities in Fair Price Shops (FPS). The beneficiaries also sought distribution of Arunodaya cards.
Speaking to the beneficiaries, Dr Mahadevappa said that since most of the households were having gas cylinders, the need won’t arise to supply kerosene.
BPL card holders, school children and the beneficiaries of government schemes from all the taluks in Mysuru district were present.
