Science platforms essential for students to gain knowledge: S Ramaprasad

Mysuru, October 25:- Nursery to PU students of Gangotri Public school on Bogadi Road organised a Science Exhibition at the school on Friday.

The retired Science editor of Kannada dictionary of Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Stiudies of the University of Mysore, S Ramaprasad inaugurated the exhibition and watched the science models prepared by the students.

“Students have prepared science models based on what they have studied. If they practice what they study in their theory, it will help them accumulate better knowledge. Such platforms are required and help students gain more knowledge,” he said.

He appreciated the models of reuse of water, rainwater harvesting, organic farming, information and communication technology, sources of energy and conservation of energy.

“Search exhibitions are very much required these days for the students. It helps them to bring out the talent in them,” said the president of the institution, T Rangappa.

Administrative officer of the institution Kanthi Nayak, principal Zareena Babul, Asha, Suprabha, and others were present. (MR/GK)
