SDPI protest to fulfil demands

Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) staged a hunger strike in front of the DC office against the government yesterday.

Its state president Prof Devanuru Putta Nanjaiah urged the government to implement Rajendra Sachar recommendation and fulfil the demands of the minorities. The hunger strike was observed from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The scholarships of the minority students have also been slashed. Minorities are considered as a vote bank by all the political parties. Government should provide Rs 10,000 crore for the development of the minorities in the budget,” he urged.
