Seer Veerabhadra Chennamalla releases three books
Pontiff of Nidumamidi Mahasamsthana Mutt Sri Veerabhadra Chennamalla Swamiji unveiled three books including `Beligidagalu Mathaduthave,’ `Kama Rasayana,’ and ‘Antharagangavva,’ penned by Kupnalli M Bhyrappa at BM Shri Auditorium in Kuvempu Institute for Studies in Kannada of University of Mysore here on Friday.
Director for Kuvempu Institute for Studies in Kannada, Prof Preethi Srimandharakumar, Chamarajanagar Ambedkar PG Study Centre Assistant Prof Krishnamurti Hanuru, progressive thinker Prof K S Bhagavan, UoM Prasaranga Director Professor C Naganna, progressive thinker Prof Aravinda Malagatti, UoM Syndicate member Prof D Nanjundaiah, writer Kupnalli M Bhyrappa and others were present.
`Beligidagalu Mathaduthave,’ is a collection of poetry that explores the pain behind the helpless silence of the oppressed class, ‘Karna Rasayana,’ is a narration about the architect of the Indian Constitution Dr B R Ambedkar being compared with Karna in the epic Mahabharata. Antharagangavva,’ is a collection of research articles regarding the origin of Mahishasura and goddess Chamundi of Mysuru exploring the correlation embedded with Buddhism stating several evidences.
Scholarship was awarded to meritorious students.
