Meet Ashok Gowda, a Good Samaritan, who is providing fruits, drinking water and buttermilk to hundreds of candidates who have come for the ongoing Army recruitment rally at the Chamundi Vihar Stadium.
He places the eatables and water by the roadside in Nazarbad and offers them free for the youth who come to him after gruelling physical and mental ability tests.
An auto driver by profession, Ashok Gowda also runs a parallel finance business.
Ashok Gowda also distributes medicines to poor patients, school bags, books and writing materials for children from economically weaker sections of the society.
“Social service is my motto and I will continue to do this in future too,” he says.
