Mysuru, January 12:- A seminar will be held in memory of farmer leader Prof M D Nanjundaswamy on February 13 at Ambedkar Bhavan in Bengaluru,” said secretary of Rajya Raitha Sangha Badagalapura Nagendra at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Saturday.
‘Book ‘Vishwa Raithara Santha Prof M D Nanjundaswamy’ by Prof K C Basavaraju will also be released on the occasion.
“Bronze statue of Prof K S Puttannaiah will be unveiled on February 18 at his birth place Kyathanahalli. A convention of farmers will also be held. Activists, thinkers and others will attend the event and pro-farmer decisions will be taken on the occasion,” he added.
He requested the government not to hand over Pandavapura sugar factory to private companies. He said that the 10% reservation for upper castes will be of no use for rural people.
Nagendra said that the government can’t provide jobs to the youth of our country as the prevailing government jobs are also being reduced. He said that the Prime Minsitert Narendra Modi has failed in generating jobs in the country..
