Sexagenarian found dead under mysterious circumstances near Ramaswamy Circle

A 65-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at the bus stop on JLB Road, near Ramaswamy Circle in city, in the early hours of Tuesday. On receiving information, Lakshmipuram Police Inspector Siddaraju and his team rushed to the spot and conducted the mahazar. The body has been shifted to the MMC & RI mortuary for autopsy.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as one Raju, who was employed as security personnel at an ATM in Sharadadevinagar and also a resident of the same locality, here. It is said that Raju had been driving an autorickshaw earlier for his livelihood.
Raju had left his house in Sharadevinagar on Monday evening and visited his father’s house near Laskhmi theatre in city and allegedly discussed about a property issue. However, Raju did not return to his house in Sharadevinagar for dinner, it is learnt.
The family members and relatives of Raju suspecting foul play have alleged to the police that he may have been murdered as blood stains were visible at the place where the body was found.

Lakshmipuram Police has registered a case of suicide and murder. Further investigations are on.
