Shankaracharya taught Indian culture to the world: D T Prakash

Mysuru, May 21:- Karnataka Senapade honoured five achievers in various fields on the occasion of Shankaracharya Jayanti at the Shankara mutt near Gun House here on Monday.

“Shankaracharya taught Indian culture to the world. He worked hard for the development of the mankind. He rejuvenated the Hindu religion. It is a welcome move by Karnataka Senapade to observe Shankaracharya jayanti,” said D T Prakash after inaugurating the programme.

Students who have secured distinction in SSLC were felicitated. Achievers in various fields, A S Satish, Pushpa A Iyengar, Mahendra, Shantha Raje Urs, Balasubrahmanya, Krishnegowda, Dr Dayananda were feted.

M D Gopinath, Prof Keshavamurthy, Srinivas Gowda, Dr Raghuram Vajapayee, Prajeesh, Shanthamurthy, Sunil Kumar, Nanjundaswamy, Tejesh Lokesh Gowda and others were present. (MR/KS).
