Sharmila Dhoka has been awarded two gold medals by the University of Mysore for M A in Jainology and Prakrit. She received the Dharmathma Gubbi N C Bommanaiah Memorial Gold Medal (for highest marks in elements of Prakrit) and Sri Madhuka S Mehta Gold Medal (for highest marks in Doctrines of Jainism) from UoM Vice Chancellor Prof K S Rangappa, during the 96th Annual Convocation of the UoM held at Crawford Hall in the city on April 11. Sharmila is the wife of Mahaveer Dhoka, a resident on Ashoka Road in Mysuru.
