Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed hailed India as a linchpin of security in Asia as he arrived in Delhi on Tuesday for 68th Republic Day celebrations.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces was met at the airport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sheikh Mohammed will be the chief guest at this year’s Republic Day celebrations during his landmark three-day visit. The honour was previously given to former US President Barack Obama, French President Francois Hollande and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
It is the Crown Prince’s second visit to India in less than a year.
