Prime News, Karnataka, Politics, Health, Disease, Mysuru, November 30:- Taking a swipe at senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah and Janata Dal (Secular) MLA G T Devegowda, the Mysuru District In-charge Minister S T Somashekar on Tuesday (November 30) opined that the duo is like love birds. “You never know when they will be together.”
Talking to reporters here in Mysuru, he said, “Tough to guess what they are up to. Sometimes, they blame each other and at times, praise each other.”
Reacting to the reported news that puja was performed to help Siddaramaiah become Chief Minister again, Somashekar said, “If that is the case, every other person would have been performing pujas. GT Devegowda must have invited Siddaramaiah for the puja. Praying to God for a favour is fine. The election is still far away and we will have to wait and see.”
On the Legislative Council polls, the minister said BJP is likely to do well.
He said, “Yes, our leader B S Yediyurappa is seeking JD(S) support where they have not fielded their candidates. I stand by my charges against JD(S) candidate C N Manjegowda and reveal the truth when the time comes.”
On the threat of the new variant of coronavirus – Omicron, he said, “So far, no cases have been found in Mysuru district. The administration has been advised to take all the precautionary measures. There has been strict vigil at borders. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has spoken to all the Deputy Commissioners. There is no cause of worry.” (MR/KS)
