Siddaramaiah gives a lesson on election maths to party workers

Mysuru, March 30:- Former chief minister Siddaramaiah taught election mathematics to party workers on how to win the Lok Sabha elections in Mysuru-Kodagu Constituency and elsewhere here on Friday.

A meeting of party workers and leaders of Chamundeshwari Constituency was held at the residence of Siddaramaiah. Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh also attended the meeting. He explained the election mathematics to everyone present. He said that the coalition can win all the 28 constituencies.

“During the Assembly elections, we received 38% of votes while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received 37% votes. Janata Dal (Secular) had 19% of the votes. If the coalition faces elections unitedly, we will get 57% votes. If both the parties face the elections together, we will win all the 28 seats,” he said.

Mahesh said that wherever Congress symbol is seen, JD(S) would consider it as its own symbol. He said that the leaders will also work as party workers to ensure the victory of the coalition candidates. (MR/KS).
