Siddaramaiah inaugurates Agro-Tech fair

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the three-day trade fair ‘Agro Tech-2016’ at Maharaja’s College Ground on Friday.
The three-day fair organised by the Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) aimed to showcase the developments in the field of agriculture and agro industry which has great potential.
The expo highlighted the opportunities available in the field of agriculture and agro industries.
The fair stressed on varied sectors of agriculture and agro industries and the related fields including engineering and manufacturing. The exhibition focused on agriculture, animal husbandry, dairy and poultry, fisheries, food processing, horticulture and machinery related to industries, including the storage and transportation industries as well as the input industries coupled with advances made in recent times in distribution.
Hundreds of exhibitors have set up stalls of various agro machineries, vehicles of various brands that are used for the cultivation, auto seed drill, Rev Plough, reaper and other vehicles.
Visitors from nearly 20 districts and other states are participating in the three- day expo. Stalls depicting the various benefits given under the state government’s Krishi Bhagya Yojana under the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture were also exhibited at the exhibition.
District In-charge and Revenue Minister V Srinivas Prasad, MP Dhruvanarayan, MLA Vasu, MLA Tanveer Sait, Minister for Co-operation and Sugar H S Mahadevaprasad, FKCCI District Coordination committee chairman Sudhakar Shetty and others were present.
