Siddaramaiah blasts MLA Yatnal over remarks on Kerala floods

Mysuru, August 27:- Former chief minister Siddaramaiah took a jibe at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Basavanagowda Patil Yatnal who had told that Kerala was ravaged by floods because of the public killing of cows. Siddaramaiah said that killing of cows has no connection with the food.

He was speaking to media persons after taking blessings from Seer Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji of Suttur Mutt.

“People of Kerala were eating beef even before. Why there was no flood so far? BJP shows double standards. Cattle killing is taking place in Goa, where BJP is in power. Are they not exporting beef? Why BJP is not stopping it?” he questioned. (MR/KS).
