Siddu refuses to comment on Revanna’s statement

Mysuru, January 9:- Responding to PWD Minister H D Revanna’s dissatisfaction with Congress over appointing chairpersons to statutory bodies, former chief minister Siddaramaiah said that he would not comment on the issue in the open.

Speaking to media at his residence at Ramakrishna Nagar here on Wednesday, Siddaramaiah said that the meeting of Coalition Coordination Committee will be held in the coming week and said a discussion on Lok Sabha tickets will be held.

He called 10% reservation for the poor of upper castes as an election gimmick by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He welcomed the decision to introduce reservation for poor of upper castes and said BJP was once opposing this reservation.

He said that all the labour unions which don’t support BJP have supported the nationwide protests and called their demands as rightful. He urged the central government to solve the problems of the labourers. (MR/KS)
