Siddu rushes to Brussels to see his ailing son

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has rushed to Belgium on Thursday early morning to see his ailing son, Rakesh Siddaramaiah, who has been hospitalised due to health issues.

It was reported on Wednesday that Rakesh has been admitted to a hospital and sources said he was battling for life at the University hospital in Brussels, Belgium. As soon as the news was out about his son’s critical condition, Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathi, his other son Dr Yatish Kumar and their family doctor rushed to Belgium. They are constant touch with doctors at the hospital.

Chief Minister, who was busy addressing many issues and po litical developments, apparently got in touch with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and requested her for all necessary support and assistance for his son. Rakesh, who was on a tour with his friends, it is said developed pancreatic and liver complications and had to be rushed to a hospital. He has been kept in intensive care unit (ICU) at the hospital.

Though there are contradictory statements about Rakesh’s problems, Chief Minister refused to make a clear statement. Sources said Siddaramaiah’s son might be shifted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore where actors Rajinikanth and Ambareesh were treated for health-related issues some time back.
