Signature campaign launched against drug menace in Mysuru

Mysuru, September 9:- Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) on Wednesday (September 9) launched a signature campaign in the fight against drug menace in the country. The campaign, according to ABVP volunteers, is to make India ‘drug-free.’

ABVP volunteers collected signatures in front of Mysuru Suburban Bus Terminal. They said, “It is unfortunate that influential people and film actors are into drugs. It is nothing but anti-national work and severe action should be taken against the guilty. The drug network is bigger than one thinks. The state government should order a high-level probe into the whole issue and take suitable action.”

ABVP district convener Gautham, secretary Sharath, joint secretaries Prajna, Mallappa, Nagashree, Kiran and district chiefs Ramadas Reddy, Hemanth Kumar and others were present. (MR/KS)
