Mysuru, January 14:- Kadamba Kannada Sainya organisation on Tuesday launched a signature campaign urging the government to implement Sarojini Mahishi Committee report and to amend it as an Act in the Karnataka Assembly session beginning from February 17.
The members of the organisation, who gathered in front of the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office here, collected signatures from the people. They said that jobs were being deprived to Kannadigas and the state government too has been careless on this issue.
The sainya activists alleged that the private companies have been bringing employees from outside the state instead of giving jobs to Kannadigas.
Andhra Pradesh government led by Jaganmohan Reddy has introduced 75 per cent reservation for Telugu people and urged the Karnataka government to implement a similar Act in the state, said Bakery Ramesh of the sainya.
Nagendra, Venkatesh, Mahadeva Nayaka, Preetham Lampura and others were present. (KS, NGB)
