Mysuru, June 4:- “The regulations implemented for the loan waiver of farmers should be simplified and loans of all the farmers should be waived off,” said the secretary of Kabbu Belegarara Horata Hitharakshana Samithi, Hale Mirle Sunay Gowda at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club here on Monday.
“Government should drop its regulations on loan waiver. The pending amount should be given to the sugarcane growers. Price should be fixed for sugarcane before the month end. Instead of starting new sugar factories, old ones should be restarted,” he added.
He urged the government to provide eight hours of electricity to pumpsets and open centres to purchase paddy, corn, millet and other crops.
He requested the farmers to attend the meeting of sugarcane growers to be held at Haveri on June 6.
