Single window system to work in favour of public: Minister UT Khader

Mysuru, December 1:- “We have taken measures to implement a single window system to work in favour of the public. In this system, there will not be any injustice,” said urban development minister U T Khader here on Thursday.

“When one applies through the single window system, it receives their online application only if the application is perfect or else it rejects. If the application is accepted, applicants will get no objection certificate from the department. It also directs the officials for spot inspection. It also records the departure and arrival time of the officials which makes them impossible to work from the office. Those who opt for 30/40 sites can apply online. The computer gives licence to them,” he said.

“There are several rules to construct mobile towers. Those who construct mobile towers have to pay the fees. They have to pay property tax every year. Noiseless generators should be installed. Towers have to be constructed 50 metres away from schools and hospitals. District level committee has been formed to provide compensation to people. Or else the licence will be cancelled,” he added.

“We have decided to provide a rental amount of Rs 10,000 to the homeless people of flood-affected Kodagu district. We will provide them Rs 50,000 along with the house. Around 840 houses of two bedrooms will be constructed. The houses on the verge of collapse will also be reconstructed,” he said. (MR/KS)
