Mysuru, November 28:- WISE, a women’s wing of Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with District Industries Centre, Government of Karnataka, Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Maharani Women’s Commerce and Management College is jointly conducting a 6-day certificate programme till November 30 on EDP for women empowerment.
Venkatesh S V, founder RiiiT, former advisor-NSDC, Government of India, advisor-UCH University of Mysore, inaugurated the programme.
D K Lingaraju, joint director-DIC, Mysuru; Dr G H Mahadevaswamy, principal, Maharani’s Women’s Commerce and Management College and A S Satish, president, MCCI were the chief guests.
Rukmini Chandran, the president of WISE was also present.
Prior to this programme, an MOU was signed between the college, MCCI and WISE.
The purpose of this MoU is to recognise and extend the co-operation and commitment of both parties to participate in the various entrepreneurship development programmes, certificate programmes and other training programmes, organised jointly for the benefit of girl students studying in BCom/BBA and MCom/MBA courses at the college. The objectives of conducting programmes are to promote entrepreneurial skills, economic self-reliance, women empowerment and innovation by motivating the students to become entrepreneurs rather than job-seekers.
