Home Minister G Parameshwara handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to the Slain BJP worker Raju’s family and inspected the crime scene here on Tuesday.
Speaking to mediapersons, the Home Minister ruled out a separate judicial probe into the brutal murder of BJP worker Raju, stating that a team of efficient police officers have been assigned the job of nabbing the assailants involved in the heinous crime.
Extending his support to the police officers, the Home Minister said they have rushed 17 platoons of police and RAF to Mysuru in order to prevent any further damage to public property. Clarifying that the police had no prior information about life threat to Raju, G Parameshwara said that local police would have given security to Raju if they had any clue about it.
He added that police have started an investigation immediately after the murder of Raju.
Resident’s of Kythamaranahalli gheraoed NR Constituency MLA Tanveer Sait when Home Minister G Parameshwara was hearing the grievances of Raju’s family. Residents of the area raised slogans against Tanveer Sait, protesting against the MLA for calling Raju a rowdy sheeter.
