‘Smart Girl’ programme held by BJS in Mysuru

Mysuru, June 25:-Bharatiya Jain Sanghatan (BJS), Mysuru chapter, had organised ‘Smart Girl’ programme for girls in the age group of 13 to 21 years, in the city recently.

The programme aims to help the girls to face the challenges in their day-to-day life activities. ‘Smart Girl’ event was a two-day workshop designed after a thorough research by experts to make the life of girls happy, safe and secure.

The training comprised five modules for girls viz  self awareness, communication and relationships, self esteem and self defence, choices and decisions and friendship and temptations. The workshop concluded with a parenting skill session for parents to understand the needs of their daughters.

BJS Mysuru had organised the workshop free of cost for the Class 10 students of Sadvidya High School in the city.

Resource person Sangeeta Srisrisrimaal from Mysuru conducted the workshop. Prakash Gulecha, secretary of BJS, Mysuru and Sukhraj Vinayakiya were present.

BJS has been partnering with several NGOs to make these programmes available to the young girls. -KK
