MP Pratap Simha lashed out at social activist Prabha Belavangala for allegedly posting morphed photographs of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on social media. He also sought legal action against her.
Speaking to media persons at a press meet here in the city on Tuesday, Simha said, “Prabha Belavangala is a fake social activist and is covertly working for the Congress. She had shared a morphed photograph of a man in saffron attire and had shared it on her social media timeline. The face of the man in the photograph was morphed to look like Yogi Adityanath, the newly sworn-in UP Chief Minister. She has directly violated the cyber crime laws and a case will be registered under IPC sections 67, 153A, 499, 500 and 505 for causing breach of peace and character assassination,” he said.
“BJP Yuva Morcha will file case against her in 100 to 150 police stations across the state. It’s high-time for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to take legal action against Prabha, If he fails to do, so we will register cases in other state,” he added.
Simha also courted controversy on the occasion by allegedly stating that if Prabha wishes to watch sexual explicit contents, there is no need to go till Uttara Pradesh, instead she can simply visit former minister and Congress leader H Y Meti’s office.
Meanwhile, he also urged for the women organisation to stand up for the lady who has been wrongly portrayed in the alleged photograph.
