Mysuru, June 19:- “Our society needs newspapers, periodicals and magazines that give news and analysis impartially,” said Hunsur MLA AH Vishwanath.
He was speaking after releasing Ahinda Express at Hunsur on Monday.
“It is not easy to run a newspaper these days. Advertisements are essential for newspapers to function,” he added.
“The paper which started in the year 2006 was stopped due to various reasons. The society needs a paper which would be a voice of backward communities. That’s why the paper is starting again,” said Intek Raju, editor of the newspaper.
City municipal council president M Shivakumar, zilla panchayat former member D K Kunnegowda, Dalit leader Harihara Anandaswamy, V P Sainath, H T Babu, and others were present. (MR/KS).
