Mysuru, March 16:- Prajapita Brahmakumari Eshwariya Vidyalaya organised a seminar to mark International Women’s Day at Kuvempunagar M Block of the organisation here on Thursday.
MLA M K Somashekar inaugurated the programme.
“I have been associated with the Brahmakumaris for a very long time now. What society needs today is peace and health. We are living without peace these days. Brahmakumari Eshwariya Vidyalaya spreads the message of peace throughout the world. Everyone has to practice rajayoga and meditation. If the society is healthy, it is because of women. Provide better education to girl child than you provide to boys. Don’t marry off the girls at an early age. If men and women both are at work, a family will feel the equality and harmony,” the MLA said.
“It is not good for the society if women commit suicide. We are moving towards the Kauravas with negative thoughts. We have to move towards Pandavas with positive thoughts. We have to practise meditation and yoga every day,” said spiritual thinker B K Pranesh.
Mayor Bhagyavathi, Leela Chandrashekhar, and others were present. (MR/GK).
