Mysuru, March 7:- Akhila Bharata Mahila Samskrutika Sanghatane Mysuru wing staged a protest on Wednesday, demanding better security for women and to keep away oppressive thoughts at Ramaswamy circle to mark the International Women’s Day which will be held tomorrow (March 8).
“The atrocities on women began the day they were forced to stay within the four walls of the house. The society should come out of this mindset and understand the values of democracy. Women should participate in social activities which helps them come out of such mindsets,” said state president of the association, M Umadevi.
Sandhya P S of the association condemned honour killing that took place at Gollara Beedu village recently.
