Mysuru, December 24:- “Karnataka Rajya Vijnana Parishat, Education Department, Kodagu district administration and Vijnana Parishat are jointly organising solar eclipse watching event for the people on December 26 between 8:05 am and 11:05 am at Maryland Estate of Chekera Dharmaja Devaiah and coffee godown of Kolera Ravi Karyappa,” said the vice president of the Parishat and programme convener Prof SM Gurunanjaiah at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Monday.
“Children, students, teachers and enthusiasts may participate in the event. Experts will hold discussion regarding the eclipse on December 25 and 26. Solar glasses have been provided in all the districts to watch the eclipse. If the eclipse is watched without solar glasses, it will cause eye problems. Despite the glasses being safe, the eclipse should not be watched for more than 20-25 seconds,” he added.
