Mysuru, July 2:- District in-charge Minister S T Somashekar on Wednesday (July 1) visited Chamundi Hills and inspected the construction of shops.
He was accompanied by Mysuru-Kodagu Member of Parliament Pratap Simha, MLA and former minister G T Devegowda, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar and officials.
“Shops were constructed in an unscientific way in front of the temple. They have been shifted. Construction of 198 shops has been started which includes toilet facilities as well. The district in-charge minister has instructed the authorities to complete the unfinished works as soon as possible,” said MP Pratap Simha.
Simha said that district in-charge minister has assured of releasing pending Rs 4.5 crore for the construction works. (MR/KS)
