Mysuru, August 10:- A Mysuru youth has come forward to donate his liver to his father who is suffering due to liver failure.
Prithesh Jain, son of Ashok Jain, a resident of Veeranagere at Lashkar Mohalla in the city, has decided to donate liver to his father, who is having liver-related problems for the last eight years. Ashok has been admitted to Global Hospital in Chennai as suggested by doctors from Mysuru. Doctors at Global Hospital asked him to undergo liver transplantation within a month if he has to survive.
There is a catch here. To donate his liver, Prithesh has to lose weight to 75 kg. Prithesh, who was weighing 90 kg, has reduced 6 kgs in 25 days by cycling and diet. He assured that he would lose weight in time to donate the liver.
Dr Satish Rao says that there is no problem by donating liver and asked the people not to have such notions. (MR/KS).
