The prestigious ‘Raja Marga’ project is yet to be completed. However, several issues like broken or missing structures, or damaged pavements, disfiguring the structure has been noticed recently (see photos). Structure was already damaged on Sayyaji Rao road (opp to Sri Raghvendra Garments), in front of Town Hall building and near Sri Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple. The pavement slabs were broken in front of Garuda mall, near Sri Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple and in front of Town Hall, risking the movement of pedestrians. Some portion of the pavement in front of Town Hall compound was left incomplete. Stickers were pasted on the structure at different locations making it ugly. Who is responsible for this? Is it the contractor for not providing strong material to withstand from the human behaviour or the irresponsible public, who do not care for it, or the MCC, which is not serious about this project? In any case seeing the ‘Raja Marga’ at the city centre, in this state is really an eyesore and tells about the sorry state of affair of Raja Marga. Can we expect that things to improve soon?
