Land: DC asks Red Cross to write to Housing Board

Mysuru, February 3:- Deputy Commissioner D Randeep has instructed the officials of Red Cross to write to the Commissioner of Housing Board regarding the lack of land space for the organisation.

He was speaking at a meeting held at Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Saturday.

“The organisation should always be active. Meetings should be held for every three months. I will request industries and other companies to give grants to Red Cross,” he said.

The organisation requested the Deputy Commissioner for permission to use the empty building behind DRC, which belongs to Women and Child Empowerment Department. The DC said he had already sought permission from the deputy director of the department for using the building temporarily.

President of the organisation, Dr Gurumurthy explained the initiatives taken by the organisation.

Dr Jayanth, Sharath MS, Vanajakshi, Lakshmidevi, Yogesh and others were present. (MR/KS).
