Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker K B Koliwad on Thursday accepted the resignation of former minister V Srinivasa Prasad.
Prasad, who rebelled against the Congress after the cabinet reshuffle a couple of months back, had resigned as Nanjangud MLA on October 17. With his resignation, he has unofficially given a hint of launching tirade against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his aides.
When Prasad met the Speaker to submit his resignation, the Speaker had said that “accepting or rejecting the resignation of an Assembly member is left to my discretion. I need some time.”
Following the acceptance of Prasad’s resignation, followers and Congressmen are closely watching Prasad whether he is going to join BJP or JD(S).
