Special children from Nireekshe distribute more than 10000+ saplings

Nireekshe Special School celebrated the valedictory function of their Hasiru Abhiyana(green campaign) “Nanna gida nanna bhoomi” that was started in September 2013 with an intention to distribute 10,000 green saplings among the children of the mainstream schools to create awareness on the importance of growing trees.

The saplings grown by the differently abled children of Nireekshe Special School were taken to different mainstream schools and few social organisations like Rotary, Lions and Inner Wheel Clubs. During the abhiyana, children performed a musical dance ballet before distributing the saplings.

MUDA Chairman K R Mohan Kumar; Chairman of Karnataka Exhibition Authority R Murthy; Corporator M K Shankar; Congress worker Chandru; Chairman of Nireekshe Special school Praveen Krupakar; Principal of the school Hemamalini Krupakar; Parents of the special children, teachers and students of the school were present on the occasion.

Few tree saplings were planted on the Canara Bank Road of ‘I’ block, Ramakrishnanagar. Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Krupakar said that the abhiyaan has not come to an end, it is only the celebration of achieving the target of distributing 10,000 saplings. However the abhiyaan will continue to prepare and plant saplings till Nireekshe exists, making it a continuous process.
