Special prayers held at St Joseph’s Cathedral to pay tributes to martyrs

Mysuru, February 18:- Special prayers were held today at St Joseph’s Cathedral (St Philomena’s Church) here, for the peace of departed souls of 40 CRPF jawans who were killed in the Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14.

“The Pulwama terror attack has come as a shock. Everyone is affected in the country following the Pulwama terror attack incident. India is known for peace and non-violence. But the terrorists have attacked our soldiers. The entire nation is united in condemning the macabre incident. India should always have peace and non- violence,” said Mysuru Bishop Dr K A William after the Mass held for one hour on Monday.

“Special prayers were held at all the churches on Sunday to pray for the peace of departed souls. We pray for the strength for the families of the martyred jawans,” he added. (HN, NGB)
