Mysuru, June 8:- After losing two lives to dengue, the city administration along with health and family welfare department has stepped up drive to create awareness among the people about the disease in the city.
At a meeting held on Wednesday at Vani Vilas Water Works (VVWW) supply centre on KRS Road in the city, the officials discussed the steps that have to be taken to control dengue.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor M J Ravikumar said that the public lacks awareness on dengue.
“The officials have to visit each and every household and make them understand about the disease. It is clear that the reported cases of dengue are more in urban areas rather than rural areas. A lot of work is required on this aspect,” he added.
