Only 18 students will be permitted to sit in each examination hall, says Suresh Kumar

Mysuru, May 29:- Education Minister S Suresh Kumar held a press meet in the city to provide information regarding the SSLC examination on Friday.

“SSLC examination was supposed to begin on March 27. Meetings, discussions and phone in meetings have been held. The examination will be held from June 25 to July 4. 8.48 lakh students I will write the exam. Scouts and Guides have come forward to provide face masks for students. 42,000 masks have been provided to Mysuru district. Each student will get 2 masks. Hand sanitiser will be provided. Sanitisers will be available at all 4,000 centres. Health Department teams will be allotted for thermal screening. Scouts and Guides volunteers will be allotted,” he said.

“24 students used to sit in each hall earlier. This year, only 18 students will be permitted. Distance will be maintained between benches. If any student is found to be having health issues, he or she will be allotted separate room. If any candidate misses the exam, they will be considered as fresh candidates for the exam in July. Children of stranded labourers will be allowed to write the exam at their neighbouring centres,” he added. (MR/KS)
