SSLC: Ranga Rao Memorial School for Disabled secures cent percent results

Ranga Rao Memorial School for Disabled, Mysuru, which offers free residential educa­tion for visually handicapped girls run by NR Foundation, the philanthropic arm of NR Group, makers of Cycle Pure Agarbathies, has secured cent percent results in the re­cently announced 2016 SSLC examination. Out of the nine students who had appeared for examination from the school, two of the students have secured A+ and seven of them achieving A, B and B+, thus making it one of the few schools to achieve this feat.

Expressing happiness at the results, R Guru, partner, NR Group said, “At Ranga Rao Memorial School for Disabled, our vision is to empower the disabled to lead an independ­ent and dignified life. “We are delighted to have repeated the success of the past years and are extremely proud of our students. This gives us only more confidence to aim higher and work towards having even better results in the coming years,” he added.

Sahana, the school top­per said, “I feel blessed to be a student of Ranga Rao Me­morial School and my fam­ily and I are grateful to the school management for all the support. “I want to thank the school for making me believe in myself and giving my dreams wings to fly. I am looking forward to take my education forward and make a career of my choice.”

The school was estab­lished in the year 1988 and since then it has been provid­ing education and vocational training to the visually disabled girls in and around Mysuru. The school is equipped with lodging, boarding, and health­care facilities. The school has been three times winner of A V Suryanarayana Memorial Rolling Cup for all-round excellence in music. Ranga Rao Memorial School for Disabled is a free residential school for visually challenged girls from economically disadvantaged background and the only school in the Karnataka ex­clusively for girls.
