SSR PU College welcomes I PUC students and releases college magazine

Mysuru News, June 13:- Sadvidya Semi-Residential College welcomed the new entrants to start the new academic session in the college on June 12. On this occasion, SSR PU College held a formal function that commenced with the invocation, traditional lighting of the lamp and address by Dr  M T Govinde Gowda, Principal, SSR PU. He spoke about the beginning of a new session for I PU students – a time for new hopes and renewed dreams. He stressed on the importance of college rules and regulations, among many other things.

The chief guest of the day, Prathap Simha, Member of Parliament, Mysuru-Kodagu District, highlighted that technology, should be used wisely by the students. He further said that it is not important how long you live but what you do in your life. M D Gopinath, Secretary, Kaveri charitable trust, addressed the students and parents. R Vijayashekhar, President of KCT, delivered the presidential address. The other dignitaries present at the event were Prof G S Shivashankar, Joint Secretary, KCT and Chairman of Academic Committee, Prof K S Hiriyanna, Incharge of SSRPU College, MC members C R Nagaraj and M S K Narhari Babu, and principal of the college, Dr M T Govinde Gowda.

On this occasion, the literary magazine of the college ‘Samanvaya’ was released. The ‘Sadvani’ board was unveiled by Prathap Simha.

After the programme, many students attended a half an hour session where they were introduced to their respective course.
