Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that he will present the state budget for 2017-18 on March 17.
Speaking to media persons on Tuesday, he said he is preparing the budget keeping the Congress manifesto for 2013 Legislative Assembly elections in view.
Siddaramaiah is likely to present a please-all budget for the next financial year, which is crucial for the ruling party to prepare for the next Assembly elections.
The Chief Minister also said the Centre’s decision to demonetise high-value notes has hit the state economy. All details of how the state finance and the economy have been affected will be revealed in the budget document, he added.
