Mysuru, September 17:- The news that is doing rounds in the last couple of days is the state Cabinet is likely to be expanded. Though the exact date has not been finalised, many aspirants from the Bharatiya Janata Party are hoping to get a chance whenever Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa gets the green signal from the party high command.
One of the key aspirants and veteran MLC A H Vishwanath is hoping to become a minister. In the backdrop of Cabinet expansion, Yediyurappa is going to New Delhi today (September 17) with a list. Of the six vacancies available, the Chief Minister wants to fill four and the sources in the know said he has promised Vishwanath he would make it to the Cabinet. The veteran BJP leader who hails from the old Mysuru region is confident he will make the cut.
Vishwanath’s chances are bright considering Chamarajanagar Memember of Parliament V Srinivas Prasad has taken up his case. The Kuruba strongman is a strong candidate from this part of the state. (MR/KS)
