Prime News, National, Karnataka, Politics, Health, Disease, Floods, Mysuru, July 27:- With B S Yediyurappa quitting as Chief Minister, there is uncertainty in Karnataka. With the imminent threat of Covid third wave and flood-like situation all over, many people are of the opinion that the decision has been taken in haste.
Commenting on the hapless situation prevailing in the state, Janata Dal (Secular) MLA from Chamundeshwari Constituency, G T Devegowda has urged the Bharatiya Janata Party high command to take a decision on the state Cabinet formation at the earliest.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday (July 27), he said, “This was not the right time for a change of guard in the state. North Karnataka is reeling under severe floods. We have the threat of the Covid third wave also. In the interest of the state, a new Cabinet should be formed as soon as possible.”
Devegowda said, “Mysuru region should get due representation this time. We used to have 2-3 ministers. For the district to prosper, we need due representation.”
The JD(S) MLA said, “Yediyurappa may have resigned but I don’t think he is the one to relax. He will be active politically. Let us wait for the Assembly elections slated for 2023.” (MR/KS)
