State govt to take up more developmental projects: MLA Jayanna

“Congress-led Karnataka government has implemented a lot of developmental projects to help the poor. By doing so, the government is developing the state,” said, MLA S Jayanna.

He was speaking on the occasion of the distribution of various facilities to the people by the town municipal corporation held at CDS community hall in Yalandur.

“Rs 3.15 lakh is allotted for the construction of a house. Thanks to this initiative, the dream of constructing a house of all the people will be a reality. Though Yalandur town Municipal Corporation is small, 85 families are selected to get the housing benefit under Ambedkar Nivas scheme in 2015-16. They will get Rs 1.8 lakh. Anganwadi centres are provided with furniture and toys at the cost of Rs 2 lakh. 192 beneficiaries will get gas connection at 7.25℅ scheme, 7 beneficiaries will get at 3℅ scheme,” he said.

President of town municipal corporation, B Ravi said that beneficiaries will be identified and facilities will be given in the coming days.

Member of district panchayat J Yogesh, deputy president Ningaraju, members Nagarathna Mahesh, Y G Shilpa Ranganath, Mahadevamma, Chikkarangaiah, Jyothi Srinivas, Y V Umashankar, Nominated member K Mallaiah, officer S Umashankar, planning officer Nanjundaiah, Shivakumar, Prakash and others were present.
