Mysuru, December 13:- “State-level Pratibha Karanji Competition will be held in Mysuru at Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Convention Hall in the city from December 15 to 17,” said Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar at a press meet held at DC’s office on Wednesday.
“Students and teachers coming from all the districts will be provided with food, accommodation, transportation and security. It is the responsibility of the officials of the public education department and other departments to make the event successful,” he said.
“Students from 8th standard to 12th standard will take part in Pratibha Karanji and Kalothsava. Around 11 types of competitions will be held for students from 8th standard to 10th standard. Students from 11th and 12th standard will have four types of competitions,” informed nodal officer Uday Kumar.
“Around 2250 students, teachers and in-charge officials from 34 districts will attend the event. Around 3000 people are expected to take part in the event. Separate accommodation will be provided for boys and girls,” he added.
“Winners in the state-level competition will be selected for the competitions to be held at Bhopal. The event is being organised at a cost of Rs 75 lakh,” he added.
“Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will inaugurate the competition. District In-charge Minister G T Devegowda, Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh, MLA L Nagendra and others will be present,” he added.
