State level workers’ convention on April 30

 “Akhila Karnataka Workers’ Association is organising its first state

level convention in the city on April 30,” said Sir M Vishweshwaraiah
Tap and Drainage Workers’ Association chief secretary, Suresh Kumar M
S here on Thursday. He was addressing a press meet at the Mysuru Press
Club on Thursday.

“The convention will be held at the Dasara exhibition grounds. Chief
Minsiter Siddaramaiah, ministers Dr H C Mahadevappa, Santosh Lad,
Tanveer Sait, MP Pratap Simha, Dhruva Narayan, MLAs M K Somashekhar,
Vasu, G T Devegowda, Sa Ra Mahesh, Kalale Keshavamurthy, ZP President
Nayeema Sultana, president of Dasara exhibition authority Siddaraju,
corporator Snake Shyam and others will be present on the occasion,” he

“A rally will be held from Kote Anjaneya temple to the Dasara
exhibition grounds. Workers from Kolar, Bidar, Mangaluru,
Chamarajanagar and all other parts of the state will participate in
the program. More than 6000 workers will take part in the program. ESI
for the families of the workers, retirement benefits for the workers,
own house, plumbing tool kits, compensation under Indira, Basava and
Ambedkar schemes and other demands will be put before the government,”
he said.

Treasurer of the organisation Mahesh S, president S Chandru, director
Chandregowda, Jagadish and others were present.
